Church Services Update

Church Services Update

Love one another

Our 10:30am Sunday services resumed on 11th April 2020 and our 7:30pm Wednesday Bible studies resumed on 31st March 2020.

Both services are in a new, socially-distant format and will continue each week until further notice.

As each service is limited to 50 people, Wednesday services typically remain below that number but on Sundays, we need to operate on a three-groups-of-50 basis where each group attends church on a one-Sunday-in-three rolling schedule as shown below.

Group NumberDate to Attend Church
Group 111th April
Group 218th April
Group 325th April
Group 12nd May
Group 29th May
Group 316th May
Each group should attend on the allocated Sunday every third week as above. All services commence at 10:30am.

Enjoy our Sunday & Wednesday services online

For those who are unable to attend the church services, we will continue to live stream each service on our live stream page, on our YouTube channel and via Zoom so nobody needs to miss a minute of our services.

Service Formats

The format of the Sunday services will include live worship from the Ebenezer Praise band, a sermon from God’s Word and a time of reflection as we observe the Lord’s Supper. Band members will use safety screens and no congregational singing is permitted unfortunately.

Our 7:30pm Wednesday Bible Study will feature a message from God’s Word followed by a time of corporate prayer (only the Bible Study section will be streamed on the website).

Service Times

Sunday services will be held at 10:30am with an estimated end time of 11:30am.

Wednesday Bible studies start at 7:30pm and end before 9pm.

Lord’s Supper

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Luke 22:19-20

With fifty non-transferable places already allocated at each Sunday meeting, we look forward to enjoying fellowship together as we worship the Risen Lord Jesus Christ in the way that He commanded His Followers to do so.

For Believers attending the Sunday services, individual bread and wine portions will be provided and available to collect upon entry to the church. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own bread and wine portions.

Important Notes for Attending Church

For those who attend services in the church building, we request that you would be mindful of the following:

PLEASE…

  1. …Only attend church on the specified Sunday for your group.
  2. …Note that your space is not transferable and is only valid for the specific service dates your group has been allocated (one Sunday in three).
  3. …Be conscious, at all times, of your safety and that of those around you:
    • Wear a face mask at all times (unless you are medically exempt).
    • From the front door, go directly to the table inside the main hall and collect bread and wine (if applicable) then go directly to a seat (preferably filling up the seats from the back of the church nearest the exit door at the end of the one way system).
    • Do not congregate at the front door nor anywhere inside the building – please go directly to your seat.
    • Do not stand in doorways or passages – please go directly to your seat.
    • Maintain social distancing measures, avoid face-to-face / physical contact, observe Government guidelines.
  4. …Allow the person in front of you ample time and space to enter the building before you and maintain at least 2 metres (approximately 6ft) distance between you and anyone not in your personal bubble
  5. ….Refrain from congregational singing.
  6. …at service end, remove all personal belongings & litter, exit the building safely and as quickly as possible via the one-way system allowing those nearest the exit door to leave their seats first – avoid blocking the passageways and congregating anywhere inside the building.
  7. …let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
