Below is our statement of faith which we believe and hold to. The Elders are inviting existing members as well as those interested in joining our fellowship to complete the short form at the bottom of the page.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,”

2 Timothy 3:16

“For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

SECOND

The Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit – one God, three Persons Who created all things.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Colossians 1:16-17

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

THIRD

The virgin birth of the Lord Jesus conceived by the Holy Spirit

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 7:14

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:18

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

Matthew 1:23

And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born[a] will be called holy—the Son of God.

Luke 1:35

His perfect deity and humanity – fully God and fully man.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man.

Luke 2:52

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1

6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Philippians 2:6-8a

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Colossians 1:15

Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

1 Timothy 3:16a

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,

But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,

Hebrews 10:12

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

1 Peter 2:24

60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away.

Luke 23:46,53

30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water.
42 So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there.

For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” 40 And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marvelling, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate before them.

11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

8 Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”
10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.

1 Peter 4:5-6

FOURTH

The fall of man & his consequent depravity necessitating the Holy Spirit’s work in regeneration & sanctification.

17 And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; 18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned

The justification of the sinner before God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Romans 3:24-25

1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:1-2a

SIXTH

The continued conscious existence of the soul after death

Then Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul answered, “I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do.”

John 5:29

EIGHTH

Genesis 3:1

12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 But you are brought down to Sheol,
to the far reaches of the pit.

Isaiah 14:12-15

12 “Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God:“You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering,
sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared. 14 You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you. 16 In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned;
so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you, O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Ezekiel 28:12b-16a

3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”
6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

Matthew 4:3,6,9
